Mimik is Film + Theatre + Café, making Mimik much more than just the aggregation of the well-known theatre Bouwkunde and the equally successful film house De Keizer.

Mimik is a cosy café with a terrace and a separate bar with possibly the best view in Deventer. But Mimik also offers an attractive and versatile range of film and theatre in five rooms. 

Mimik's theatre hall is suitable for a professional offering of touring small-venue productions and is fully equipped with hoisting facilities, modern LED stage lighting, sound system and film house equipment incl. surround sound. The two side bridges are connected by a series of gondolas used for quick and easy stage lighting of performances. All the theatres have continuous programming, allowing multiple films to be chosen from throughout the day and evening.
